Radioactivity Dynamics in River System

(2015)

How is the concentration of radioactive cesium in seawater and marine sediment changing?

In Fukushima Prefecture, the concentration of radioactive cesium in seawater and marine sediment was high just after the accident. But after that it has been decreasing.

The concentration of radioactive cesium in sea water(upper figures) and marine sediment(lower figures) has been decreasing. Similar results are reported by other institutes (e.g., NRA, 2017).
