Fukushima Research Conference on Remote Technologies for Decommissioning

Fukushima Research Conference
on Remote Technologies for Decommissioning

Nov. 24-25, 2016 _ Naraha, Futaba, Fukushima, Japan

Sponsored by Japan Atomic Energy Agency, Japan

Scope

The main objective of this conference is to provide an opportunity for discussing remote technologies for decommissioning of nuclear facilities. Remote technologies including robotics as well as special equipment for the workers/the responders are expected to make breakthrough for decommissioning process. This conference will cover the technologies related to remote operations for the decommissioning, their commitments to the practical applications and also the equipment/methods for accelerating the development of such technologies and the systems.

This conference will be held at Naraha Remote Technology Development Center in the Fukushima Research Infrastructural Creation Center of Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA) whose mission is to support to develop the technologies that contribute to decommissioning of Fukushima Daiichi and emergency response.
