Introduction of research and development
Facilities Safety Management Department
Two sections are set up in this department. One is the Facilities Safety Control Section. In this Section, the formulation of various rules related to safety management, supports for permit applications, and the quality assurance on nuclear security are conducted. The other is the Radiation Control Section, where the radiation management and the maintenance of measuring apparatuses are conducted.
Project Engineering Management Section
This section supervises whole Okuma Analysis and Research Center and conducts general affairs.
Analytical Control Department
Two sections are set up in this department. One is the Analytical Planning Section. In this Section, 1) the planning of analysis related to the treatments/disposal etc. of radioactive wastes, 2) the quality assurance, and 3) the developments of analytical technology are conducted. The other is the Analysis Section, where analytical works related to the treatments/disposal etc. of radioactive wastes, and nurturing of analytical engineers, are conducted.
Analysis and Research Laboratory Development Department
Two sections are set up in this department. One is the Laboratory Installation Section 1, where the interior equipment in the Laboratory-1 of the Facility for Analysis and Research of Radioactive Materials is prepared. The other is the Laboratory Installation Section 2, where the design and manufacturing of the interior equipment in the Laboratory-2 of the Facility for Analysis and Research of Radioactive Materials are conducted.
Okuma Facilities Management Department
Two sections are set up in this department. One is the Okuma Utilities and Maintenance Section. In this Section, the supply/demand adjustment of electricity/gas/water and the operation/maintenance in the Okuma Analysis and Research Center are conducted. The other is the Okuma Facilities Construction Office, where the management of construction works and seismic safety evaluation of the buildings etc. are conducted.
