Announcement of Fukushima Research Conference on “Corrosion Prediction and Mitigation for Key Components of Fukushima Daiichi NPS” on November 27-28th, 2017

Fukushima Research Conference on “Corrosion Prediction and Mitigation for Key Components of Fukushima Daiichi NPS” will be held at Tomioka Town Art & Media Center on November 27-28th, 2017.

Purpose

For challenges of the decommissioning of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station (NPS), it is important to address a cross-cutting cooperation with variety foreign and domestic expertize beyond the field of nuclear engineering.
This conference aims to promote research and development of decommissioning and to exchange the most recent knowledge with intersecting an area of specialty, focusing on the prediction and mitigation of corrosion in those key components of Fukushima Daiichi NPS.
In this conference, we focus on the following topics:
  ・General Corrosion of Carbon Steels
  ・Localized Corrosion of Corrosion Resistant Alloys
  ・Effect of Radiolysis on Corrosion
  ・Other Important Aspects of Corrosion
